Yes, and it's a huge one, consider that the normal thumb button on a keyboard is the space bar. This one big key is there for both thumbs because despite their usefulness in grasping things thumbs happen to be the big idiot of the digit world (think about all the keys you could have there if your thumbs were smart enough to use them). Try this: tap your index finger on your desk as fast as you can while resting your palm on the desk, now try your thumb. Now this may not matter for a game like call of duty because of the game's normally slow movement but try the unreal games with their double tapping strafing and the need to rapidly change direction and you'll be hosed.Your vid there isn't bad but you should note that call of duty is a game made first for the console systems. Anyone will tell you that thumbstick aiming is nothing compared to mouse aiming, this is why games like halo seem to be almost slow motion compared to pc exclusive shooters.
My hand span reaches from A to Enter if that gives you an idea.
If by that you mean if you go from pinky to thumb outstretched as your handspan, then you have the same size of hand as me.Where is your keyboard located relative to you when you sit, like which keys are directly infront of you? (assuming you have normal straight/not-ergonomic keyboard)
Finger Positioning
So is the bottom of your palm(the part that is closer to wrist) in the air?
Yep, and ring finger is on shift, pinky is on control.
