Author Topic: Hmm Reinstalling Wow (Read 1085 times)

Well I decided to reinstall wow, I did I also installed BC then when I went to go install patches I sign in then I get the downloading update screen that quickly reaches 100%. But what comes after is a Burning Crusade Installer. Is this somesort of compilation of the patches or what?

Looking at the downloads it's all skins and some other armor/weapon related stuff so far, though I'm only at 3%

WoW discs don't have the latest install, you gotta patch it for a whole day.

Yeah I know but is this BC installer that came when I expected a patch a patch compilation? I already installed everything on my discs.

I'm talking about WoW in general. It's not like BC isn't WoW.

What I did was I've been keeping the same copy of Wow for about, oh I don't know, 3 years?

No custom crap, just updates and expansions.

It took me like overnight just to download and install it. WoW+BC. Then again I was on stuffty broadband. Now it'll probably take me less than 6 hours.

There's also now an option to "stream" WoW to your computer. It just downloads the terrain area files for whatever character your playing, and as it goes along further in the game it downloads more.

That sounds like it would be laggy with slow internet

Takes me about 45 minutes to install WoW and all of the expansions.

Some patches take forever, though.

Probably not, I was actually considering going to an RP server to avoid things like this

Blizzard either needs to strengthen guards of lower levelled places, so that you can still actually RAID them, as opposed to coming in and slaughtering everything by yourself.

I can't turn in anything when some friend Night Elf waltzes in and kills every loving blacksmith and quest giver.
