Show some respect to him. He might be about to lose a lifelong friend, and as I'm sure many of you know, it's more than possible to bond with animals. And by animals, I mean ALL animals, not just cats. Surely you guys have had a pet that you have loved dearly at one point in your life. Imagine it gone. All those memories, looks, cuddles, gone.
Also, pets have souls in one way or another as well, just like humans. Just the other day, I was on my way home and saw a cat in the middle of the road, that someone had just hit and left it there to die. Imagine if that was a person. Front page news. People stopping all over the place to see whats happened. Ambulances, paramedics and investigators swarming the area. But because it was "just a cat", nobody stopped. I stopped and took it to a vet. It didn't make it, but it breaks my heart how it lied there, on the road, dieing with people driving over it constantly, not taking one look, not having one care in the world other than themselves in their selfish worlds.
In my eyes, all animals and humans are equal souls. It's unfair how animals get the short straw and that most people consider them to be "just animals". I'm sure if all people took some focus away from themselves and focused on others, animals and all, that the world would be a better place.
