Final Fantasy Tactics is a 2.5D Isometric tactical RPG that was originally released in 1998 (for the US, 1997 in Japan). Several years ago (like 6) I got this game and I loved it. It's still my favorite game today. A couple years ago they had remade it for the PSP in 2007, and re-vamped it with cell-shaded cutscenes, some new music, new job classes, and a lot of other new stuff. The newer versions name is Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War. Too bad I don't have a PSP :(

But still, I wanted to know how many people have played the original game, and what their thoughts on it are.

The music is amazing from it, and in my opinion (and for that matter a lot of other people) think that it is one of the greatest RPG's of all time.

I want to know what you think, if you have played it.

Is this the one with hte Really long opening, and something with a old book

God I love the Tactics series :D

Tactics: Advanced

i hated the gameboy ones.

but the real psx/psp rerelease tactics was one of the greatest rpg's ive ever played

Yeah I know. I didn't really like the ones for the Gameboy Advance and DS.

I like having all characters being Humans, not weird monster races. Plus the story line was amazing.

The GBA and DS ones simply don't reach that standard.

the game was sweet. the more you grinded to earn them abilities you wanted, the harder the enemies become. they always equal or anove your level no matter what. the game gets really hard the more accomplished you are lol

Yeah but the last boss was easy :<

I had to go easy on him because I could've killed him before his 2nd move D:

I've played through the game like 4-5 times each doing a different thing.

Last time I played through it, I made my entire party magic users. And I learned about the Deep dungeon so I completed that to 100%. In the end, Ramza was a master Blackmage, almost master Priest, had many Time mage abilities, and was a master Calculator. I had a master Blackmage, a master Priest, an awful Summoner that I barely ever used (although she ended up surviving Zodiac in the Deep Dungeon, so she learned that), and a master Time mage. I didn't end up using my Summoner after I beat Dycedarg, since in that battle my Priest invited a Knight that was an incredibly good Ninja (hey I have to have one Physical person >.>). He's fun to use since I got the 'Secret Clothes' shirt from the Deep Dungeon that make me start out invisible so I can walk up behind people and slice them with the third and second strongest Ninja Blades in the game (I wasn't successful in getting the strongest from the Deep Dungeon, but I could probably go back and get it).

I love that game so much...

They should bring the Tactics series back to consoles and base them off the first one, with all humans and an epic storyline.

No gay Mewt teddy bear person trapped in dreamland place with gay monsters :<

I love it Shinchito (or whatever is called) and Ragnarok all the way. I used to be invincible also with my gunner Moogle.

That is Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

We're talking about Final Fantasy Tactics.

Aw damn, I never got Chirijiraden from the Deep Dungeon. And for some reason, in FFT, Ragnarok is Nagronok or something.

Good luck getting the original one. It's older than 10 years. Advance was a lot more gay, once you play Final Fantasy Tactics, you will love it way more.

No. Advance was the most complete Tactics games i've ever played, and its story got me tied to it a lot, also i loved so much that you can place the different place in the world as you wish.

The original is much more in-depth, much more complete, and all around better >.>

Get the new one if you have a PSP, it has more.

the old tactics has way way more customization and side quests.
and even better graphics lol

KK i wonder in what store can i get it for PSP? And is the old one abandonware?
