Author Topic: Moving load screen  (Read 1659 times)

I'm not saying anyone should make this. But it would be epic-ly great to have in v13, v14 whatever.

You know when your loading and it shows a picture of what the map looks like? Well, it could show what a camera is seeing, so like, its not all boring while you load. So you're watching the people play on the map.

I don't know if that would be hard. Probably would.

Good idea? Bad?

Then you'll have to load the loading screen.

In order to see the map from a camera's point of view, you'd have to do one of two things:
- Download the map and everything in it (what Blockland already does, except it then lets you play instead of view another load screen)
- Download a live bitmap image of the camera's picture. This takes up quite a lot of bandwidth (downloading 1024x768 picture 30 times a second for a decent quality...)

I want a loading screen minigame
Like..

Bounce the ball around! Or something.

It's brilliant now that some games have to load the main menu.

So you load the main menu pick the game you want load the game, skip the cutscene and load the game for real

I want this to be on loading screen :D

If you want something to do while its loading go look in RTB for the tetris GUI. It's Client-sided :3

I can't find that... Link pls?

The animation should be added to the map file, So the loading screen would be a part of the map itself.

Then what do you put on the loading screen to load the animation for the loading screen for the map?

Well, for that, you add a loading screen for the main menu! Yay!

Super blockhead bros!
