That's what Ephi said about SurvivalRP, and look at it now, it's almost done. Look at all of {GSF}Ghost's Addons, where there's a will, enough time, and a good scripter, there's probably a way.

If we can't do it with a laser pointer for specific directions, the rest is still possible.
The laser pointer thing is the only one I can see problems with.

Okay... but so far I can't find a scripter.

We'll see if anyone comes along.
Once we get a model or two in we might attract more attention.

The basic idea is possible, I think your just trying to make it overcomplicated. Sometimes simple is better.

Did you read the OP.
Yes. It said nothing about attack bot automation.

Once we get a model or two in we might attract more attention.
I could always make more; my brother wanted to help with the attack bot.

The laser pointer just needs to be a really, really fast red laser-like projectile that fires constantly while holding down mouse button. And when it hits, it could change them to a playertype that certain bots are attracted to.
Simple concept, really.

Shouldn't we be thinking about the model right now?

It doesn't have to look like a solid beam, plus, using your method wouldn't function correctly. By firing a projectile at something, it would set coordinates for the bot. If you shot a bunch of projectiles, it would create the coordinates over and over again, probably causing unneeded lag. We need function before aesthetics.

i was actually thinking you couldn't hold it as a solid beam

You sure about that?
Because it seems like you don't understand.
Each bot has a different laser pointer. And instead of hurting them it turns them into a new playertype, like survivor, but for each bot there is a different one. And if there is, say, a healthbotplayertype and you shoot someone with that laser the health bot would be attracted to that player, rather than the other players. And if you shoot multiple people the health bot will heal it in order of most health needed to least health needed.

Same with the kill bot, it would kill them in order of greatest health to least, in order to be more efficient.

But coordinate's would work for a shield bot, you shoot the ground and it walks over to you to deploy itself.

It would probably be hard to script, but the idea actually makes sense. Just use playertypes.

P.S., the playertype for the health bot goes away after they are fully healed, and can't work when their health is at 100%.

Uh, what? Its a laser pointer. Not solid except for on the tip.

no, no, i mean it's single shot

you click, and it's done. no dragging, nothing fancy

Oh.
Yeah, that would make it more fair. Or it has to charge up to fire again, so you won't be lasering everyone on the other team and letting the bots do your work.
