No.  Some people do hacky stuff that deletes one brick and creates another one just like it one space over, but you can't actually move bricks.

I've used every incarnation of elevators I've seen on public servers.  They've all been complete stuff, much worse than the stuff I made back in v8.

I'm afraid Clockturn's worked seamlessly, the only flaw being the fact he had no model therefore he just used the glass texture. I could just as easily ask a Craftsmen to make a quick model, and we'd have a perfectly functional elevator mod with events.

You hate to be wrong do you? I was on one of those elevators and they WERE glitchy, sometimes the elevator goes up forever, other times it goes down forever. Clock did some trips in the coding.

Think - Do we really need elevators? They'll be cool for 5 seconds. Use setPlayerTransform or addVelocity, as Bisjac said.

Trader joined just at the end of the v0002 era and immediately took to starting a starwars themed mod. He eventually ditched this idea and just created some fancy content. Come retail he uses that for all the things he makes now as sorta a logo.

There are plenty of things I could use them for in the types of builds I do where one explores stuff.
I have evented set transform elevators that work almost perfectly, an error once every about 30-50 uses and they seem completely real. It's awesome. However it takes me more than an hour to make one and a hell of alot of events. I would prefer if I were to just have a single brick do the work for me automatically.
