but it works and it looks nice to me

Flat shading the whole thing would look handicapped. Why do you think badspot didn't flatshade all hats and backpacks?

Leave the curved parts smooth shaded, and the other parts flat shaded.

It was a simple test, I didn't bother to fix the shading, I'll fix it tomorrow.

My rule for hat making is if something isn't cubic, smooth shade it (like the round bricks)
it just makes them look a bit nicer
