Ok, it wont run on my Acer aspire 5315 running windows vista home premium. It says loading... and it shows the picture of the guy smothering breen with a cone. then it gets brighter and exits. "hl2.exe is not responding" What the heck is wrong?

Windows is thinking that source isn't responding when it is.  It's just loading.

You're not gonna be able to run it on that thing at all.

1 GB of DDR2 RAM
Vista Home Premium (it shouldn't be on a laptop like that)

You'd be lucky if you could get it to run.
