Yeah I just bypassed it for now, like I said - things are super basic, it's more a proof of concept than a fully functional feature.

Ah, ok.

It's a very nice looking proof of concept.

  • Improved reliability of server player count

I've noticed some dedicated servers with one person in them will show 0 players, too.

i think its sad for me. when the RTB v3 came out i couldnt download old stuff from the blockland forums it just came a message saying "You have followed a link from the old RTB2 Downloads System which has closed down.
There is a chance someone has uploaded this to RTB3 so it would be worth searching there too!" :(

I don't seem to have RTB4.

I don't seem to have RTB4.

In the making, durp. It's modifacation discussion not Finished Addon's.

I've nearly finished the Groups stuff, I'm just not sure how to go about adding the UI for enabling them.

I'm thinking some kind of "Groups" button on the Add-On window (under the minimal/default/nonebuttons) that just opens a window where you can click to enable various groups.

It just doesn't seem like the best way though, when someone comes up with a good way of doing this I'll be able to release 3.3.

Perhaps have groups be added to the top of the list exactly like regular add-ons, but obviously using group-toggle functionality.

I think I'll work with that idea. The "Groups" button on the right will just scroll the control to the place where groups start.

Then an entire group can be enabled like a category of add-ons, or its items can be individually enabled/disabled.

I'll go with this until someone comes up with something better.

What I think it should look like this after you slick the groups button

Group name (Collapse/expand)(Enable)(Delete Group)           +(Button, adds add-ons to the list)
Add-on (Enable, Disable)(Report)(View)(Remove from group)
add-on (Enable, Disable)(Report)(View)(Remove from group)
add-on (Enable, Disable)(Report)(View)(Remove from group)

When you click the plus sign, you get something like the normal add-on menu, and you check the ones you want to add, then click done or something, then those are added to the list.

We're talking about actually enabling/disabling a group before you start a server -  not configuring or creating them.

What you described was pretty much how it works from the mod manager, without the enable/disable/report/view options.

Ah, without the mod manager?  I would like a separate window.  Also, on that window there should be an "advanced" button, where you go into the mod manager.

What about a tab-like extension to the side of the GUI, containing individual buttons for each group, named to whatever you want. Clicking the button enables all of the add-ons in that group.

Put "Edit" and "New" buttons at the top of the tab. The New button brings opens a replica of the add-ons GUI, except the presets area is replaced with a textbox for the name, a done button, a cancel button, and a clear button. Users select the add-ons they want in that group, type in a name, then click done. The new group then appears in the groups list. Editing would work by clicking the Edit button(which works in a color changing toggle style so you know if you're about to edit something and can go back to normal mode), and clicking the group you wish to edit. You are brought back to the replica Add-on gui, with the add-ons in the group already selected, and now with a delete button added to the possible options.
Removed due to not noticing that this is just for selecion purposes.
