And it would also be painful to have to open up RTB Connect everytime you start Blockland up to see who's online. You could just make one whole popup with a list of who's on and have <...> to click and see who else is on.

I will not be implementing the popup. It is a bad idea and would annoy people.

Any more flamers for my ideas?... :cookieMonster:

Well anyways, where will you post the link for beta testing of RTB4?

Somewhere that people who are MEANT to test it will find it.

The signup url is here: http://beta.returntoblockland.com/

I will make lots of posts around the place when the beta is available.

I actually clicked the link thinking the beta was open right now.

Thanks for the link Ephi. I added it to my favorites.

Me too, but great to have the URL in advance. Feels a bit better to know you already knew instead of a mad dash to a URL just mentioned.

IRC will be removed in v4 essentially because rtb connect replaces all it's functionality.

Just wondering, but do you think #rtb will ever be used for anything important, again?

Edit: It'll be sad when the problem reports come in. Testing of things like this always have their ways of spawning problems... But awesome. :3

Will this beta be public for the whole time or just for a limited time only? Then after that limited time, will it become a private beta so only the signed up users can be in the beta testing?

Posted on RTB Forums about the new beta testing site and new updates on the release. I'm so excited!!!

About what was you said a while back about no central chat room, I found it useful when the master server was down occasionally to check what was going on and some people gave server IPs to connect to manually.

I'm designing a contingency system which RTB Connect would put in place if it lost connection to the master server. It will essentially allow people to login to RTB Connect as "guests" (you won't get your friends list) and will be auto-joined to a central chatroom. There are a few things to consider here but I feel it'll meet the requirement you mentioned above.

Ephi is it okay if I posted my topic about the RTB Modification in RTB Forums? I accidently made a duplicate topic about it since you already have a topic about that in General Discussion. I posted links to beta website.

Read Ephi's posts. Don't ask me.
Edit: But any inportant questions that have not been answered yet, I'll answer them for ya.
