That will be useful. I could just do that instead of asking people what server they're in.
Same.

It'll also stop the people who are ignoring you from not telling you where they're at.
:3

But if it's passworded it will ask for pass right?Or straightly connect? What if it checks a famous server and adds him as friend and then connect?I Think that you should make it if passworded, ask for pass
The 'famous server's host' has to accept the invite, and I'm sure you'll have to enter a password.

Yes - All your friends will have a status like "Hosting" or "Playing" and you can then click on them then click the Join button and it'll connect you to the server they're in.

I question this, what if you don't want some random guy finding where you are and starts to annoy the stuff out of you? This option should be for friends only.

It is for friends only.
It's been mentioned more than once.
Infact, in that very post you quoted.

/facepalm

I've just put invite restrictions in place (so you can require people to have trust with you before they can invite you) and updated the options menu with some new handy interface options.

I also did a late night playtest with Kaje to try it all out and it appeared to work very nicely and he was extremely impressed.

Things left to do:

  • Client: Status data
  • Client: Info card
  • Client: Messaging
  • Client: Private rooms

Once these bits are done we should be ready for our open beta.

Hooray! Are private rooms chat room, kind of like IRC, that only certain people can join?

I just call them "private rooms" instead of rooms. Users can register rooms and then setup who is allowed to join them or whether the room is public. There will be a public "RTB General" room which people may be joined into by default.

Could you get us some Pictures of the hood of the Chat room?

What is a hood?

He means the layout of style he means the main chat layout how it looks .etc

Ok, post when you get a part done. I have that beta link up and waiting for it to open.

RTB doesn't have any HUDs either. I've never heard anyone call a GUI/skin a hood though. That's a new one.

Anyway, I haven't designed the chat GUI yet but I will post some pictures for feedback when I do.

For Status Data, can they be freely edited without much restriction? I know there's currently a Blockland Music Player through the .ogg system and all, maybe it could list what you're currently listening to.

Not that I use that, since converting to .ogg is a pain and annoying.
