That makes me curious: Will current beta testers still be able to beta test that when you are preparing to introduce it?

Maybe just keep the beta team and make them permament.

Only one task left really, and it's quite minor:

RTB4 Beta 4 just went out, I'm hoping this is the last beta before the release candidate as there's only a couple more things to do:

  • Room management (less work than it sounds)
  • Sending PMs to people who are not your friends
  • Display a list of people you've recently played with when you go to add a friend
  • Better management of modal windows so they can be displayed in places other than the main client menu
  • Changes to make the client attempt auto re-connections

There's probably a bit of cleanup to do around the place but the next update should be the RTB v4 Release Candidate.

Im sure this has already been suggested but I wish there was some sort of add-on favorites type thing, so I didnt have to enable/disable addons all the time to adjust them to what Ill be hosting

That's called add-on groups and is available in the current version of RTB (v3.5). Go to your mods and hit the groups button in the top right.

Osht I never noticed that.
Thank you kind sir you just made me life <33
Now time to go tell my sister

So I'm guessing once all the updates of v4 are over the beta is disbanded and a new team is chosen.

Once V4 is finished it'll be released.
What do you mean by new team?

If I recall correctly, v4 is taking long because he has to rewrite a lot of stuff. In future versions, he'll just be adding features to the v4 system.

More like creating an entire new chat system and HUD Display. But I think he'll just be adding more to this than re-writing it.

v4: Complete rewrite in the system, add-on sided and web server sided. Also adds the new chat system, replacing the IRC client.
Future versions: Adding new features. Such as gallery, clan manager, and online storage of saves (you can choose to make them public or private)

It follows the same path as other projects. Each major release (2.0, 3.0, 4.0), etc, is usually rewrites to the system and new features.

The current hold-up is some dodgy bug causing RTB to crash when you open the overlay and have the VCE add-on installed. I've had to invoke the Badspot to wheel out his debugger to figure out if this is something that can be patched in the engine or even via script, so we'll see how that goes.

Meanwhile I'll be looking at refining various things and doing some testing around the place. I've written a unit testing framework so I'll spend the time writing some new tests for that I guess.
