The current hold-up is some dodgy bug causing RTB to crash when you open the overlay and have the VCE add-on installed. I've had to invoke the Badspot to wheel out his debugger to figure out if this is something that can be patched in the engine or even via script, so we'll see how that goes.

Meanwhile I'll be looking at refining various things and doing some testing around the place. I've written a unit testing framework so I'll spend the time writing some new tests for that I guess.

If VCE is interfering with RTB, then shouldn't you look at that script to look for the interference? Also, I am not having this bug.

That's because he is testing the next version before he gives it to the beta team.

I've written a small engine patch which changes how window focus works a bit which should make things a bit more usable - that'll be in BL v20, however I don't need to wait for that before RTB4 can be released.

That sounds rather exciting, for some reason.

It really is - it means clicking anywhere within a GuiWindowCtrl will force the window into focus (as in, bring it to the front of the parent's object list) which wasn't the case before and made for some really crap usability. During my explorations I also came across a few cool new functions I can definitely make use of in RTB4.

Uh.. Cool.

I always wondered why Torque engines didn't do that in the first place.

Well that's a nice change.  I'm getting sick windows being so difficult to access.

Just a note that people using the leaked RTB4 Beta will find themselves banned from using it at some point today. It's very easy to check who's not meant to be using it and I'll be leaving those people banned for maybe a few days after the initial release. They'll also be excluded from beta opportunities in the future.

Dats mean. But fare!

It's still a fish, tell us when it's something else.

Now that it is in the "Final stage of testing" do we get to found out what Pirate Scallywag mode is?
