1. Where were you on 9/11?

2. Have you visited one of the attack sites?

Where were you on 9/11?
On 9/11, I was in 1st grade.

I live 22 miles from Manhattan, central New Jersey(Middlelove county).

I remember where I was on that day. I don't recall any discussion of 9/11 in my school. At the time, our school had TVs and I do remember the lights were off.

Our dad came to me and my brother with the news, but left us at school. I remember his words, "The world trade center blew up". My mom was a volunteer EMT and we didn't know where she was going. Our dad picked us up later, and we went to our grandma's house in Freehold, Monmouth County.

We watched it at our grandma's house. When I think of my grandma's house, all I can think of is the change skyline view from Gritty Grapnel; I remember seeing New York when I saw in Gritty Grapnel. Not just the change of NY's skyline from there, but from everywhere. I would think that if you could go above the treeline at my house, you could just see New York.

Something missing? (second photo by me)

Have you visted one of the attack sites?
I have been to the World Trade Center in July 2001. My cousins from France(half-sister of my mother's family) were visiting New York. We did not go into the towers because my brother was afraid. I remember standing at the base of the towers looking up. (identical to this photo)

I have visited the WTC many times after the attacks. Several occasions for just traveling back home.

Praise Allah.
Disregard that I suck roosters.

I was in school as well.
We got sent home early, I got off the bus and asked my mom what happened. She said towers in NYC had been hit by a plane.

I had no idea what was happening to tell you the truth.

I woke up to a bunch of screaming in my living room.
My stepmom was crying and w/e.

I kind of didn't care, since I live an ocean away.

I still kinda don't. In fact, I often find it funny how worked up people get over this fact. Guess I'm a troll then... oh well.

Communist!
Yeah. You know that hijacking in Mexico the other day? I could care less. Is that what the rest of the world felt on 9/11 ?

And you live 2000 miles away.

I was in school, and they made an announcement. I had no idea the degree of what happened until I saw the recap on the news the next day.

In Russia second grade they just made us stand up and just wait quietly for one minute, you know honor the dead shnizz. At first i was all " WTF is a twin tower???" then i saw the TV and just saddened me a little, five minutes later i was playing Medal of Honor.

People are making a big deal out of a hijacking in mexico?

'twas in 5th grade i do believe. in school, i think. maybe...i dont remember.

I saw the attacks happen from my school bus. I live in Greenwich Village, so I was relatively close.

WHEN THERE IS A HIJACKING, CALL:

I don't really care anymore, obviously a lot of people died but that was the way it was intended.

I was in Grade 4, I can only remember that because my Japanese Teacher was worrying about some one he new who was near the twin towers.
