1. Where were you on 9/11?
2. Have you visited one of the attack sites?
Where were you on 9/11?On 9/11, I was in 1st grade.
I live 22 miles from Manhattan, central New Jersey(Middlelove county).
I remember where I was on that day. I don't recall any discussion of 9/11 in my school. At the time, our school had TVs and I do remember the lights were off.
Our dad came to me and my brother with the news, but left us at school. I remember his words, "The world trade center blew up". My mom was a volunteer EMT and we didn't know where she was going. Our dad picked us up later, and we went to our grandma's house in Freehold, Monmouth County.
We watched it at our grandma's house. When I think of my grandma's house, all I can think of is the change skyline view from Gritty Grapnel; I remember seeing New York when I saw in Gritty Grapnel. Not just the change of NY's skyline from there, but from everywhere. I would think that if you could go above the treeline at my house, you could just see New York.

Something missing? (second photo by me)
Have you visted one of the attack sites?I have been to the World Trade Center in July 2001. My cousins from France(half-sister of my mother's family) were visiting New York. We did not go into the towers because my brother was afraid. I remember standing at the base of the towers looking up. (identical to this photo)

I have visited the WTC many times after the attacks. Several occasions for just traveling back home.
