Isn't the assassins takin the BH's job then?
Ok, let me explain all this.
The new jobs system has a neato feature where each category has 2 paths you can follow. There's the base, or first, job, and then the user has 2 choices of progression from there.
With the Bounty Hunter category, you must start as a BH, but from there can progress to either Peacekeeper or Hitman. Peacekeepers can later become Vigilantes, and this path is based more on making arrests; so if you're a former cop who was arrested, this might be for you.
Hitmen can become Assassins as the end result of that line, and this line is based more on claiming bounties and doing so efficiently and legally. Hence the new feature where claiming a bounty via assassination will (or should) give you a 10% bonus to the original bounty. So a $200 bounty will now give you $220. And so on. That bonus might be increased depending on certain factors.
But what I'm getting at here is that each job category has its basic job which lets users experience a little from each job path, and then they can specialize. That's why Undercover Cop, for example, doesn't require a job like Police Chief before it, even though those jobs are essentially equal in EXP.
As for the -3 EXP when you change categories, it's ONLY for categories. So if you're a Diplomat and decide you'd rather become a Senator as an end result, you can switch back to lawyer, then go to Official instead of Diplomat, and then become a Senator. Changing job paths within the same category is expensive, but changing job categories will cost you 3 exp.
Do we get it now?
