Author Topic: Getting A New Computer  (Read 865 times)

Well, apparently I'm getting a new computer as my birthday and Christmas present's combined. The budget is about $500.
I have no clue what to get :cookieMonster:

Help, anyone?

Well?
Do you want a Laptop, or a Desktop PC?

Build it.  You aren't going to get anything good with $500 with a prebuilt.  If you want a desktop.

Desktop, I planned on building it anyways. What ever's good for gaming.

I also think I get 17% off Dell products because my Step-Mom works in the marketing district.

Yeah i'm getting a new computer too :3

Gonna cost about £800 :D (maybe $1,200?)
3.4ghz quad core - 6gb ram geforce 250 :3

Here's the policy of getting a new computer with my family, either;
*Have the money and buy it, or
*Your old one is broken.

Break your "old" computer. :)

*Too bad, you're not getting a new one.

Nah, I'd rather not waste good money.

My birthday is coming up soon, so maybe I could use the money I get and get something new or save it, wait for Xmas and middle school graduation and buy one badass set of parts.

Cause my current rig is still good.

You can always replace the internet explorer shortcut, to a program that executes malware. That way, you can get a new family computer.

I'm hoping to get a new graphics card and power supply with my birthday money, maybe a monitor, too.

They're selling the really fancy Samsung monitors for only $100 right now on the dell site.

The one thing I really would want for my birthday is money, or a new case. The only fan I can add in my case right now is like a 40mm fan, only one. That's it.
