Quite obviously it was a movie line used to promote a movie parody of the movie he took the quote out of, people like Marcem misunderstood, and overreacted.

They created a commercial about the event of 2012 itself, and had a very well put together site that nearly pulled it off, with the exception of the film company's name at the bottom of the page.
