Strangely I feel more awake and alive for the whole day when I get the odd nights where I only get 3 hours of sleep.
I cannot get back to sleep, and I'm feeling more alive then any normal day.

I don't get dreams i just fall asleep wake up and feels like i was in a black room for 2 seconds...

I hate that, it's almost like your brain goes into a panic because you're not going to get enough sleep and stops 99% of thought so you sleep better or something. Then when you try to do this purposely, that doesn't happen so you feel like stuff.

I'm always tired in the mornings for the first 3 or 4 hours I'm awake.

This chronically happens to me. Getting up early, even though its school, I'm always cranky. But don't say that I'm not used to it, cause during summer I woke up at the same time everyday to go to football practice. So in the mornings I'm a jerk, but once I get to school, I get sleepy, but then I'm fine after lunch. Also, Your probably just bored in Gov, so you tend to want to fall asleep.

Could be insomnia or apnea. Is your bed comfortable at all to you?

It's 12 Pm over here now o:  My bed is okay conftorable. It is possible that is could be sleep apnea my uncle has it really bad and has to use a machine so he doesn't stop breathing at night.

When I was at a week-long field trip to some camping place near the Chesapeake Bay, the beds were awful. I had terrible sleep the whole week because of it, no matter how many hours.

I was under the impression it was about everyone in this thread who couldn't sleep right. :/

I suggest talking to your doctor about it. He'd know more about this than any of us, unless he's an idiot.

Most likely.

Try taking a nap after school or something.
