Author Topic: Battlefield Heroes?  (Read 1299 times)

I've never seen it before, but it looks like a knockoff of tf2.
Tell me if there's another thread or if it sucks so i can lock this.

I personally think it sucks, and would much rather play tf2.

Great game, but thanks to the great hackable prevent system, I've lost over 3 EA accounts over this game.

It's pretty fun for a simple browser based game. The vehicles are enjoyable.

It shouldn't of been named Battlefield, it also promotes some of the stuff things about the Battlefield games which was grenade spam. Overall I think its just plain stuff and boring.

I like it.  But I don't think it should be branded as a Battlefield game.  I like that vehicles aren't so overpowered too.  Boltster, stop saying it's trying to be TF2, it just has a similar art style.

I never did..

I stopped reading right here. You're judging a game based on art style, like all those people who hate borderlands because it's cel-shaded. Battlefield Heroes is absolutely NOTHING like TF2. In fact, they are almost polar opposites.

Battlefield Heroes plays a lot like a dumbed down BF1942. You pick a class, and go shoot stuff, capture spawn points, and drive vehicles. However, in BF Heroes, you pick a faction and a class when creating one of your soldiers (you can have like, 4) and then you can only use that class and team when using him. BFH is also a kiddy game. No blood, corny, bordering-on-stupid sound effects, and very forgiving vehicles when it comes to crashes.

TF2, however, is Bloody, gory, has no vehicles, and you can change classes and teams whenever you want. Also, the game modes are entirely different. In pretty much all Battlefield games, (except 2142) there is like, one game mode. Conquest. Each team has a number of tickets and spawn points, and the objective of each team is to either kill all the reinforcements, bringing the ticket count to zero, or holding all the control points on the map. In TF2, there are many different game modes like Payload, CTF, and Arena, to liven things up. None of the TF2 gamemodes really compare to Battlefield's Conquest mode.

tl;dr: OP has no idea what he's talking about.

Hmm do I sense hypocrite with BF2142, it had conquests and the same gamemodes as the old Battlefields plus new ones.

It only had one that was noticeably different, and that was Titan. Assault Lines worked almost the same way as regular Conquest.

Honestly you're the only person I've heard of getting your password stolen over this game.

TF2... ...and you can change classes and teams whenever you want.
Wrong.
You can't change the teams if both are even with you in a team..
Also, there are servers with class limit.

Honestly you're the only person I've heard of getting your password stolen over this game.
If you think I forget my passwords and my accounts, I write every single one I get down.

Pretty much this.

That and the fact that if you want any kind of advantage, you need to actually pay real money. That's when I stopped playing.
