Borderlands is pretty much an FPS (with light RPG elements) game in which four players cooperate to achieve one goal, treasure and stuff.
The game is four players online co-op and si for Xbox360, PS3, and PC. It features like 300,000 87 bazillion guns or something, bunch of enenmies, four different upgradeable classes, customizable vehicles and even more awesomeness.

It's for pre-order on steam too!

Silver weapons have greater chance of achieving an extreme critical hit.
Black weapons will fire quickly, but lack accuracy.

300,000 guns?

Looks a little interesting, but I don't think RPG and FPS go well together.

RPG stuff is really only leveling/skill point/typical RPG stuff, think of it as a lighter version of Fallout 3 except, not really...

Hard to explain :S

I love the box art.  :cookieMonster:

I made the 1st topic about this back in February. It looks good, but it would have had the spotlight on it if it was an AMAZING game such as Fallout 3 (Fps/RPGish ways that is). Don't give to high expectations for the guns either. It states that all guns are randomly generated. So most guns are just going to be modifications such as 1: Plus 1 attack and plus 2 ranged electric then plus 2 attack and plus 2 ranged electric. Just imagine that 1,000,000 times over. Well, that's how I think of it or how they stated it last. Please anyone comment me or correct me if possible.

Yeah, Angryjoeshow showed me this. <3
I want this game.

I can't wait for this to come out! Too bad I have no money :|

I'm pretty sure that all of the guns have different models, and sounds, the game has been in production for a looong time, even if most of the guns are just +1 accuracy and plasma damage, I'll still be happy, I'm sure a good chunk of them will have unique things though.

why do both games i want to pre-purchase have to be like $50 :(

clap trap videos are great :D

With an advanced enough system, you could have a series of gun part models, then dynamically attach and scale them for the different guns. Same goes for sounds.

That said, there are many ways they could give the weapons a great deal of variety. Randomize more meaningful variables. Add more interesting variants. Step away from the "+1 damage" "+1 electrical damage" "+15% firing speed".

I'm going to buy it for the PC.
Because i stopped paying for xbox live.
<3

God I want this, I think I'm going to get it on PC :D

I'm getting it for pc due to the gayness of my xbox.
