Personally.
I don't really give a forget any more.
I mean, when I was a young forumer and these topics seemed fresh and enlightening, I would bash the biblethumpers back to Jerusalem, but I've matured a lot since then.
First and foremost: you are going to die. It'd be nice to have somewhere to go, right? Well, sadly, we don't know. Because we don't know, I don't try to dispute. Trying to argue with these idiots is like trying to argue the point of which came first, the chicken or the egg. Sure you can have a million reasons supporting one side or another, but you were never there, you can never actually know.
And thus, I try to avoid these conversations.
So: here's a question for both sides:
Atheists: Try and explain to me, if there is no god, what created the particle that was the Big Bang? And why?
Religious: If there is a god, who created him? And why?
Really. The first person to give a logical and appropriate response will have converted another one into their ranks: go now.
