I beat it once, but it was close. I used the Blade instead of the duck gun since it's lvl 2 version has the highest possible DPS in the game (although difficult to use) and it turned the eye block and the final boss into swiss cheese. Apart from that I pretty much took my time using the Bubbler to kill things slowly but surely. The second room is the killer, those blocks do massive damage for some reason.

I replayed it again and I think I forgot to do something since I didn't get to Hell again. Rocket v2.0, check, curly rescued and revived, check, spur obtained, check...

I dunno, I came to the Plantation and she wasn't on the bed. I guess I forgot something.

I beat the core on my first try, then i rage quit because i did it wrong and killed the lady

and now i can't beat the core :(

First time it took me a billion tries to kill the core with the MG, then a billion billion tries with the polar star, then next time with the polar star I did it first try.

Is trading the Polar Star for Curly's machine gun worth it?

I always take the machine gun because of the jetpack effect at level 3 which is extremely useful (until you get the booster). I don't mind losing the spur/whatever just for this reason.
