Kill Misery and Sue first, then blast the core's brains out with either nemesis, spur, snake, or machine gun, in order of most useful to least useful.

You don't actually kill her, you just knock her out by shooting her a whole bunch.

I cheated and just used cheat engine to make my health really high and have alot of missiles
i am elite
I then proceeded to kill the core

You don't need cheat engine to do that. Just edit a save. Anyways you suck at the game kthx.

I use Cave Editor for cheating, i just edit the script of a level to give me weapons, health and stuff.
