In my family, its hereditary to get diabetes. I don't have it yet, but it's probably going to happen in the future. Right now, I'm trying not to get health problems such as kidney stones by playing football. But my grandpa died from lung disease and diabetes. And my grandma died from lung disease(Both died from smoking)

just keep a good diet going and you should be fine. Make sure your doctor has heard of insulin and glucagon, unlike my mom's doctor who said her blood sugar level would spike in any direction and there was nothing he could do about it

I'm sorry to hear that about your friend. So far, I haven't had any losses in my family, other than a pet.

Though, I do feel bad for a few people I know. They live with stuff parents, and put up with it every day, still managing to stay happy and do well in school.

It's amazing, the things you don't know is happening to someone else, till they open up to you and tell you.
