Author Topic: Upcoming fun free game! Come play Subvein!  (Read 14759 times)

Adding this to my non-steam games. It's epic, awsome job.

EDIT: Added to Steam favorite games as well.

Is there a way to exit out of the skill upgrade menu other than pressing the return to game button which is right next to disconnect? Also, a way to sell upgrades - or reset your character in the War mode would be good.

ESC.

I don't think this really counts as advertising, or else the every other topic in Games is an advertisement.

Anyway, this beats any other 2D shooter ever made. This is some of the most fun I've had in a while, and I would definitely pay $5 - $10 for this game, especially if it had vehicles. Good job, you made an excellent game.

Oh come on, my name is too long. :(

Hehe yes I've thought about Steam. Maybe when it's completely done?

Mega713, you might have some success with WINE.

Duckmeister, you can queue skills. After you've invested all remaining skill points a queue skills checkbox will appear instead of the LEVEL SKILL button.. click that and then click the skills you wanna queue. No hotkeys for buying guns yet.. but good idea. I'll add it.

hehe and BladeOfTheHorizon, I'll extend the character limit for you next version ;)

Have fun!!

How do you host a server?

Bencelot, you're awesome.
This game is quite fun, and runs on my six-year old IBM ThinkPad nicely. (quite rare, especially for 3D games).

Free games with guns never turn out well. Hacker city.

hehe, cheers :)

Frontrox, to host a server you'll need to forward your ports. The default port is 11235 (fibonacci sequence anyone?) though you can make it whatever you like. After doing that simply open the game.. go START GAME, set whatever settings you like and host!

Speaking of servers.. it would be really awesome if anyone with a good internet connection COULD host one.. because the player base is growing rather rapidly and there are more players online right now than ever before (only 28.. but still a lot to me!). Exciting times! I'm going to play now. JOIN!

And Sirrus.. I am almost 100% certain there are no hacks developed for this game yet. The new version only came out like 3 days ago.

Well, when and if this game gets popular (which isn't a stretch of the imagination, it looks great) they're will almost certainly someone hacking in some way unless you constantly keep tabs on it. Or charge a few bucks to play it.

Not that a pay system 100% eliminates hackers, but it helps.

Edit: Anyway, hackers or not, I'm going to try out this game. Looks pretty badass.

Thanks i will host a server,i have a very very fast computer and internet.

What about admins?(server admins)

Yes you're right Sirrus.. there will be hackers. I just hope not for a while! Wanna work on new features rather than cheat protection.

And Frontfox that's great man! Thanks a lot. As for admins, when you create your game type a password into the "Admin Pass." textbox. Then just give that password to whoever you want to have access to the server options. Players with the password (including yourself from a different computer) can log in by pressing ESC to open the menu then browsing GAME INFO > UPDATE GAME.

Good luck! What's your server going to be called?

Idk maybe Blockland dedicated
also do i need the game up to host or do i have some sorta consol?
