Day Of Defeat:Source

This game is quite good.
Since nobody donated to the "SuperToxic Wants DOD:S for his Birthday Foundation" I got a someone from IRL to gift it to me.

What is it?
A class-based shooter running on Valve's Source Engine. It takes place in World War II and consists of two opposing teams. The US Army and the German Wehrmacht.
The classes are as follows:
Rifleman
Sniper
Assault
Support
Machine Gunner
Rocket

Sounds neat! How much is it?
It is $10 by itself.
You can also get the Source multiplayer pack for $30 and also get HL2:DM and CS:S

What are the requirements to play?
-512 mb of RAM
-1.7 GHz Processor
-Direct X level 8.1 Graphics Card
-Steam (Go get it here)

They make this or TF2 first? They're both classed based and use the same killcam.
also I should get into this again, still annoys me with the no shotgun class thing though.

I believe DOD:S came before TF2

Rocket/Machine Gunner for best class '09

I nominate sniper because the bullet will travel through loving two people.
At least with the german's sniper, dunno about the springfield

German Sniper for easiest sniper in the game '09

I just dont like the projectile register time. When you hit some one with a bullet, it takes a second for em to die  and play the death message. Anyways, 3rd fav game because of Saving Private Ryan.

Never had this problem in all my hour of playing the game

DoD:S came first but TF2 used domination and the killcam first. DoD:S used to run on the Ep1 engine but they switched it to orange box.

Is this game any good?

Good fun, bit nade spammy though.
(not as nade spammy as empires though :x)

Its mostly Saving Private Ryan without the rescuing; capture the point gameplay and demolition. And the community is made up of men in their 30s to 50s. The clans(battalion, squadron, militaryish, ect) is mostly like US military with ranks and saluting stuff like that.
The recoil system is like Counter Strike's but it doesn't re-aim to your original position.

I just hate the fact that now they took out the M1 Carbine class from original DoD and slapped it on Rocket.

Ahhhh Day of Defeat: Source was great!

I want it gifted to me. Since I got a 245 GTX with the Fallout 3 Complete Pack plus the left over add-ons.
And I really want this D:
I really should make up some cash...

I love this game, I play it so much.
