This game is Hack-and-Slash style game-play for all who want to know.

There are 5 Classes;

Barbarian; Those who kill everything via melee. 'Nuff said.


Sorceress; Magical spells and whatnot! Good for various enemys.


Necromancer; Rises the dead and makes them his/her army >:D


Paladin; Like the barbarian, but capable of over stuff.


Amazon; Swift and deadly, Arrows and Bows fits her well...

Don't say something about the size of her boobs...please.

Overall an awesome game! Please post HAMACHI server IPs here...
Because multiplayer wont accept single player characters.

I'm pretty sure you can attach your IP to battle.net and then download it.

Eastern Sun is a very good D2 Mod that I think still has a thriving hamachi community.

I played on the Europe realm even though im USeast because my friends played there. I lost interest in d2 after a while, too many greedy bastards and starfishs.
D2maniacs Modded Closed Realms is better

when a hardcore character dies, that character cannot be played anymore, as that death is permanent. (hardcore is for people who want a challenge)

Yes, thank you I knew that, The reason for my incredulous "wut" is because I wanted to know, exactly what the hell a player is doing PvPing with their Hardcore character.

Yeah this mod seriously kicks ass. Makes vanilla D2 look like the handiwork of drooling babies.

Also I still have most of my characters on Ladder if anyone wants to play. My current gigantic waste of D2 value is going into a sorceress that turns into a bear and hits things for a max of 35k damage around 8 times per second   My all-time favorite "forget-You" character is probably my summon necromancer though. If I had specced him for PvP (with BoneSpear instead of Corpse Explosion) he would have been a monster.

Median XL is my favorite mod. d2 maniacs has custom realms so you can play a lot of mods online with people without open battle.net, it is illegal but considering how old the game is and the fact that you still have to have a legit copy of the game to do this, I mentioned it anyway.

the multiplayer aspect is a joke... same thing but for like what, 8 players? that week is much shorter then before

As long as you still need a legit copy I don't see anything illegal about it. If it ain't pay-for-play or discontinued service then you're good to go with private games like any other game :P

Multiplayer is enjoyable when you play with cool kids and you stay away from the general 12 year old public.
