Author Topic: TF2 spy question from a beginner  (Read 784 times)

If a spy is disguised as a opposite team spy, can it attack and stuff without being un-disguised?

The thing that brought this to my mind.
5:20 Spy decides to disguise as a Blue Spy so he can shoot his ambassador in disguise.

No, an entire topic is not necessary.

Don't listen to that thread. ANY disguise breaks when you attack, even enemy spy

"NO!"

No, I just put them in there for fun.

On top of that all attacks, ranged or melee will remove your disguise EXCEPT for sapping stuff.

Remember that as soon as you finish stabbing all your targets immediately cloak out.

Or sapping.

Remember, smashing your finger to sap a sentry is faster than an engineer trying to repair his sentry/stuff.

Something witty to do with dead ringer is disguise yourself as your own team's scout, then run in and when you're "killed" cloak into a member of their team.
They will never see it coming.

1. Dead Ringer.
2. Disguise as someone else on your own team.
3. Run in with DR out or be realistic and take a few shots before Dead Ringing).
4. Run behind their lines ASAFP.
5. Disguise into someone on their team.
6. Spy stuff.

better idea

as your team rushes out, cloak and dagger and crouch walk through the battle. get to the other side, stand still, let the cloak and dagger recharge and disguise as the other team

if possible make sure as you creep across the battlefield you do it away from the fighting: maybe the sidelines or a crosswalk or something

Using the C&D like that makes things very, very slow and you'd be better trying any other watch or tactic. Treat it like an Invisibility Watch you can use at any time to trick people, not a permanent hiding spot.

It is rather fun to hop on the payload cart with C&D and just ride it until the team captures the first point (assuming they're near it when you hop in). Most people will then run ahead of the cart to clear the area for the next point cap, so you can unclock and either A) stab them as they run off or B) kill off the people who stuck around to push.

My usual tactic is use the C&D and slowly get across the field and behind their lines or wait for my prey.
