Basically, you have your five main senses. (Touch, Taste, Sound, Smell, Sight)
Then the ones after that are ones that your body and mind use, but you're not generally aware of them yourself.
Such as your sense of knowing where one body part is from another.
Or your general sense of time, or even direction.
There's a fair few of those sort of senses being theorized as senses.
This is a great fact that I'm fascinated with.
