Also, InfinityWard's reason for adding this level in the game was to make people "Hate terrorists".
If they really wanted people to hate terrorists, you would have been put in the perspective of a civilian.

Is this supposed to make people love terrorists then? It's not too hard to just imagine yourself as one of those civilians.
They couldn't have you be the civilian because then you wouldn't see the ending.

You play as this american guy, who is a secret agent or something.
You are trying to do something with the russians.
They knew you were an american all along and when they get out of the airport after slaughtering all those people they shoot you before escapng.
They leave your body there so the russian SWAT team finds you and they think the rest of the russian guys you were with are american too.
So, they "cry for war"

I don't know why, but those games seem way different than this.  Maybe because this game is more realistic.
Actually because its organized and labeled terrorism.  Thats probably the only difference.
