Author Topic: My hair needs your help  (Read 1774 times)

I shower every day. I hate having sweaty, greasy hair.

There's a difference between staying clean and keeping healthy straight hair.

i do it less to save my color from coming out so fast.
not shampooing does not = no shower or cleaning lol

but a person shouldn't be shampooing EVERY DAY unless you have some kinda dirty job or you sweat balls alot.
your scalp needs your natural oils and crap, should never be dry,

i scrub the crap out of it every time i shower, but i just don't use shampoo every time.

if you dont use any kind of products daily on your hair, try a normal shampoo every 3 days,
and you should find some spendy vitamin conditioner (not one that cleans) just for health. daily use

Yeah but it's not hard after you get in the rhythm of that stuff. I usually have short hair so it's not too big of a problem having straight hair. But that's just how mine is, if it got longer the ends would curl.

My hair is always clean, but I may have been overshampooing it.

How much do you squeeze out of the bottle when you use it? Or maybe you're not letting the conditioner sit long enough (some say wait like 2 minutes after putting it into the hair).

I use a from a half dollar to a ritz cracker size squeeze. I also leave conditioner in for the length of my shower...  like 10-15 minutes.

Cum works wonders on hair

Maybe a hot oil treatment if your hair is coarse and not feeling straight or smooth.

Also I figure you're going for this sort of hair style this bro, or a variation.

Shampoos and Conditioners

This topic i don't have alot of knowledge on, mainly because i use quite an obscure shampoo. I use the shampoo bars that you can get from http://www.lush.com i've found them very effective instead of a standard shampoo and all the ingredients are natural aswell. On a budget, Pantene Pro-V and also Tresemme are a good shampoos and conditioners but i have heard that the Pantene is abit of a joke when it comes to repairing hairs and split ends because it covers the hair with a layer of wax.
I have heared very good things from a friend of mine who has long hair and that the Aussie branded shampoos and conditioners are very good so i would suggest checking them out.

Conditioning wise, it depends on how you hair is, there is a huge range of conditioners that target specific hair types, whether your hair is "Thick and Coarse", "Damaged" or "Greasy" there is a conditioner out there for your hair.
If your hair feels very coarse and dry i would suggest a hot oil treatment, VO5 do a good hot oil treatment that it's about £4 and gives you 4 vials of oil that you heat up in a cup of hot water, massage into your wet hair and leave in for a minute, i use it and it's done wonders on my hair especially because i straighten it. They recommend that you use it once a week depending on how bad your hair is.

Yeah this place has good content. Makes me want to go back to having a lighter brown/blonde highlights (i.e when I was 6).

Damnit hair! You turned dark on me!! Argh

I don't know how you dry your hair, but don't be a slob and just attack it with a towel. That damages the hair and leaves it rough. Patting it gently with a towel and wrapping it up works very well to dry your hair and leaving it feel nice.
