I expected Modern Warfare 2 to be a piece of stuff. My brother bought it for the X-Box, I barely even like the X-Box. But that game, is loving amazing.

If you don't care about a sub-par PC multiplayer experience, go with Modern Warfare 2.

MWF2. L4D2 is virtually the same as L4D, and as much as I loved L4D, I will be waiting for a price drop or to get a used copy. MWF2 is just amazing.

MWF2 is also pretty much the same as the first one. They're just extra content games for the sake of keeping the fans from getting bored too quickly.

If you want to try a game that might actually offer an interesting challenge, go for Shadow Complex if it's available for PC. Yeah, it's a side scroller in a 3-D type environment, but it certainly is different and has a couple of fun twists in it.
