Well now it says I have a 20 minute wait. I'm getting so friggin anxious to try this thing out. Granted, I don't expect much since I haven't gotten my card upgrade yet, but we will still see if it is manageable to at least give me an idea of what I'll be doing when we get into the final release.

Okay, now I'm rather upset. I just finished the download, winzip immediately tried to open it when I specifically asked it to save through utorrent, said that the file was too large and there wasn't enough memory to open it, crashes utorrent and winzip, then my pc shuts down, automatically restarts and now I don't have the damn 7gig file I spent the last 30+ hours downloading. Needless to say I am not a happy panda and I will be taking a trip outside to make a few passing remarks to whomever is within earshot.

I've tried, but everything I try to open wants to go right through the stuffty windows downloader. I was able to get it to go through utorrent once, but that obviously failed. I found a site that has already given me a 10 or so hour download time. I'll be sleeping through most of it, so I suppose that will suffice. The server is down anyways so I wouldn't have been able to play tonight as is.

Well I redid mine and I just woke up and the download was completed, so I'm happy. Sucks that I have to go to school before I can play it, but oh well, it's fully downloaded now.

Update: Yup, my video card can't handle the game, although the game installed like a breeze. Now I just need that new vidjuh card and I should be good to go. I can't wait for payday tomorrow! And then, therefore, a few days after that to get the card and install it, then hopefully that works. Woohoo! :D

I started it at about midnight and it was done before I woke up at 8:30am. Hope that is a faster solution for you.

An 80k connection is like the same thing as dial up.

However you define broadband speed, its like AT LEAST stuffty dsl, and that's like 1.5mbit.
That would be a 187k connection. Still barely enough to play modern games.

Games require upload to lag less. A connection like yours wouldlikely upload at some 8k per second,
When normal mmos would require at least 100k up

I'm on a 25mbit. That's a 3,125k connection. And most mmos cap my individual bandwidth at 800k per second

I think my DSL is rated at 3mbit but I'd have to double check. Either that or I'm running a really long cable from your house to mine. lol

If the router is only 4 feet from your computer, why are you going wireless on the thing? Hardjack it to the router and it'll work much better. Unless you're talking about those god-forsaken satelite internets, then you may as well just quit right there. :/
