Author Topic: Greatest Valve game  (Read 2929 times)

I recently got L4D and now that I've seen pretty much the entire spectrum of Valve's work in the video game world, I was wondering what everyone thought was their greatest game by any measure.

You left out Richochet, Opposing force and Blue Shift and non-source Day Of Defeat.

IMO, instead of Half-Life + Half-Life 2 (+ Episodes 1 & 2, and Blue Shift/Opposing Force and all those mods) you should just put 'Half Life Franchise' or something.

And now I are sad, because I changed my mind.  Just realized I like TF2 more than HL.  :(

I say Portal.  It's really great, it's original, fun, and was well made.

Richochet maybe, but Opposing force and Blue Shift were made by Gearbox and Day of Defeat source was a Source remake of Day of Defeat, which was made by Activision but published by Valve.

Counter-Strike:Source because of loving awesome surfing and high replay value

Added Ricochet and CS:CZ

Valve worked a little bit on opposing force and blue shift and gear box finish it. Day of Defeat was devolped by Vavle and published by Activision(according to some sources).

Oh stuff, you're right. I read it backwards on the wikipedia page.

I'd say Team Fortress 2. It is addicting and has nice graphics.

TFC, it has more features than TF2. You can move around in fun ways, classes required skill to use, demoman could blow down certain parts of walls.

Developer(s)    Valve Software
Publisher(s)    Activision
Designer(s)    DoD mod team
From wikipedia.  It's a mod.  A group of people, not valve made it.  I think that they were hired by valve, though.

How do you expect me to choose just one? :(

TF2, buzz off if you don't say the same :C

Lost Coast isn't a game, it's a commentary level.
