I've been playing since the release of the Orange Box, and a lot more recently; the only hat I have is the Gibus, from the achievement.

I once seen someone get a ton of weapons out of nowhere, but shortly after, someone said that guy was cheating

On a more related note, i've been playing TF2 a good amount of times since the item drop system came out and i've only been getting dupe weaponry and no hats from it :(

It baffles me too, I've had the Orange Box since maybe a month after it came out and have yet to get anything other than force-a-natures and huntsmans and other stuff I don't use from the drop system.
