The issue with a tournament style-poll is that it doesn't work well.
A better system is to have a large poll of every title in the tournament. Each voter ranks each title from 1 to n(number of games)(1 is best, n is worst) without repeating a number. These votes are inverted (n-x where x is the vote number) and added up, the title with the highest number wins.
If you're set on elimination, eliminate the lowest scorer every X amount of time and allow everyone to replace their votes. It will still go down to a championship round, except that each game has an equal chance of making it (instead of, say, WoW being paired up with games that obviously weren't going to get far regardless of who they were matched with early on)
In the meantime, I'll steer clear of this KFC-add infected site.
