Wooh, slow down. Only the PC has the loving handicapped system?
Ok,
Call of duty 4: Modern Warfare used a system of dedicated servers, which allowed for games with up to 64 players and pings's below 50 (for lag free, very smooth gameplay). With servers you could restrict weapons (like the noob-tube) and create very customized gametypes. You could also have the server admin ban players who were cheating/hacking or just being obnoxious, or you could have all the players vote to kick the hacker/annoying person. It was a great system and really had no downsides. So here comes Modern Warfare 2 PC and what do they do? THEY REMOVE THE ABILITY TO USE SERVERS. This mans the game has to use the same crappy hosting system as consoles where the player with the "best" connection hosts the game. Not only does this limit the number of players to 18, but it also gives the hosting player a enormous advantage over the rest of the players in the game because that player is not lagging. There is also no ability to host highly customized games or kick people from the game. This is why the multiplayer in Modern Warfare 2 is fail. Almost all PC games before it have used the server system. PC gamers have always had a high expectation for the quality of multiplayer games, and Modern Warfare 2 is far below the expected quality of PC multiplayer.
