This mod can crash servers.

No, that doesn't crash servers, the only thing servers have from it is a precipitation object which has a few fields that are sent to clients. It doesn't do anything.

It can however lag clients due to trying to render a ton of particles, but this is only a problem when you give admin to stupid people. (Or are one yourself.)

His CLIENT crashed, NOT his server, and since his client and his server were the same process, it crashed both.

If he were running a dedi (which means just a SERVER) it would not have crashed, but his CLIENT would have crashed.

This is true with anything which spams anything.

At the cost of people who know what they're doing, I'll put in protection against this to benefit stupid people.

It's going to be done when he finishes. It doesn't take 5 minutes to make a script for THAT many rain particles. (In other words, it takes longer than 5 minutes to make that many types of particles in the script + adding the CMD + a lot more.)

No, actually the first one took me less than 5 minutes, I put almost no effort into it, look at the first post in thi topic, it took longer to write that post and take a screenshot than it did to write this script.
