MP3 costs money and this way noobs won't be dumping their entire mp3 collection into the music folder.  Anyway you can make an ogg in like 5 seconds with http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Wow.  Another program to add to my computer.   :cookieMonster:

But doesn't TGE at least support .wavs?

I think, seeing as SFM runs music with .wavs

In TGE 1.5 If it cannot Find the .wav/.ogg it try to find the .ogg/.wav. But I Don't think BS has BL on 1.5.

Yes, it supports .wav's, but Badspot added a new feature - ogg audio files.  It's more compressed audio.

I think .ogg files are supported in Torque 1.2 and higher, but I might be wrong.

.oggs are in the tge demos

Woot sound editor program.

They were supported in Torque 1.2 with a change to the code.  1.3 might have had .ogg default in there.
