Just about to fight Thardus. Wish me luck with the new Beam/Visor switching controls...

good luck. tell me how hard it is.

also, how much different are the controls? is it like playing the game for the first time again?

Defeated Thardus

Also qevil, here's what I did exactly:

1. Scan Thardus (obviously)
2. Switch to Thermal Visor, switch to Wave Beam.
3. Lock on to weak spot and shoot multiple charged shots at it until it malfunctions Thermal Visor.
4. Switch to Combat Visor, switch to Power Beam.
5. Lock onto damaged weak spot, shoot with Super Missle. (One Super Missle shot destroys a weak spot.)
6. Repeat steps 2-5.

Tip: When Thardus summons rocks from the ground, shoot them. They will give you missles/health.

I hope that clears things up.

keep forgetting about the friggin' super missile. its all easy going until thardus makes it all foggy and you can't see him 'cause your thermal visor is messed up.

I hated that thing but i cleared him without dieing. I don't think I've ever been killed by a boss in MP1.

Its called don't use that visor when it goes fuzzy.

I played the 3rd on the Wii when I rented it.

My god it was terrible. Horrible controls, 60 degree FOV, can't aim all the way up or down, and it's on the Wii.

And it's ugly.

Of course my Wii TV sucks. I'm not plugging my Wii into my glorious 52 inch LCD TV dedicated to my Xbox 360 and Halo 3.

Then stop bitching about it.

MP1 is the best, I didn't like MP2, it was too hard and had a stupid story line.  MP3 had an awesome story, but no exploring
It is hard to say wich is my favorite, It is either the first or second

Do me a favor and see how much sequence breaking you can do w/ MP1 on your little trilogy majig.

Seriously though, I can only imagine how much they ruined that game by taking away all the sequence breaking opportunities.
bug fixing is bad! :(
