Ubuntu isn't really for ease of use, it is either for nerds that want to experiment with it, or you just want to go on the internet now and then and have no OS and you don't wanna buy one. Ubuntu really isn't a smart choice for your main OS if you: ever want to play games, don't like learning new things, hate when stuff doesn't work right out of the box or you really love GUIs. Ubuntu is kind of a hit and miss too, I have 7 comps around my house and most of them it won't even boot on, my laptop the wireless internet runs perfect right on a fresh install but my gfx card doesn't work, and my desktop my internet card won't work but everything else works.
