Also Windows 7 is much more then a new taskbar, it has an incredible amount of stability and speed improvements over vista, so much so that it runs great even on my old Pentium 4 computer, which is something Vista would stuff itself trying to do.

You mean your old computer would stuff itself trying to run Vista.  :cookieMonster:

This still did not work.

I can't figure it out. If all fails, I'll go buy 7.

Do most of you know about Ubuntu?

I've never had any problems with windows 7.
Same

I prefer Windows 7 over Ubuntu as Win7 doesn't have to go through a bunch of hoops to play the games I want to play.

But he said Windows Vista, If it was the newest version of Ubuntu, then bam lets go with Ubuntu people.

Ubuntu isn't really for ease of use, it is either for nerds that want to experiment with it, or you just want to go on the internet now and then and have no OS and you don't wanna buy one. Ubuntu really isn't a smart choice for your main OS if you: ever want to play games, don't like learning new things, hate when stuff doesn't work right out of the box or you really love GUIs. Ubuntu is kind of a hit and miss too, I have 7 comps around my house and most of them it won't even boot on, my laptop the wireless internet runs perfect right on a fresh install but my gfx card doesn't work, and my desktop my internet card won't work but everything else works.

I still prefer Windows Vista over Ubuntu for the very same reasons.

If you're wanting to play games, stick with Windows, otherwise go to Ubuntu
