Author Topic: Sony vs Microsoft customer service.  (Read 2820 times)

No, this isn't some friend console wars topic.

Let's get started.
so far, I've expeirienced both Sony and Microsoft's customer support.
And you know what.

Sony's customer support is far better and faster than Microstuff.

For instance, about a year ago. My PS3 stopped reading discs.
Called sony, next thing you know.
There is a prepaid empty package(BOX AND ALL) at my front doorstep to deliver my ps3 with.
Yay.
I got it back within 6 days. Believe it or not.

loving excellent. They answered my questions, they were fast, and it works like a charm since.

Now, Microstuff on the other hand has a support center located in Texas. Which i'm not planning to bomb at all lololololol....
Anyways, so after about 2 hours on the phone and the xbox.com support site. I figured out I could get my xbox repaired without paying the 60 bucks.
3/4 ring of death.

(Please note, they shipped me a piece of paper.)
I put in the repair request on 12/14/09
It was processed on 12/20/09
It was sent from their shops on 12/22/09
And I got the prepaid UPS note (NOT BOX, NOT PACKING MATERIAL) in the mail a day ago.

AND I'M WAITING TILL IT GETS SHIPPED TO THEM.
GOD KNOWS HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE ME TO PLAY MY XBOX AGAIN.

And guess what. They give me a packing label.
No box to put it in? NOOO. OF COURSE NOT.
SO I HAVE TO GO TO UP-loving-S and send my OWN CONSOLE USING MY OWN MONEY TO THEM.
GOD DAMN.

NO CONSOLE WARS HERE PLEASE.
WE ALREADY KNOW THE PS3 HAS NO GAMES.
WE ALREADY KNOW THE XBOX LIKES TO stuff ON IT'S SELF.
WE ALREADY KNOW THAT PC GAMING IS FOR THE MASTER RACE.

I've never had bad service from microsoft, they've always been timely when I have sent things for repairs.
Never used Sony customer services.  Maybe the guy on the phone was having a bad day? :o

You should keep the consoles boxes like smart people do.

NO CONSOLE WARS HERE PLEASE.

But the...

WE ALREADY KNOW THE PS3 HAS NO GAMES.

Oh, but what about the...

WE ALREADY KNOW THE XBOX LIKES TO stuff ON IT'S SELF.

Ok then what about the...

WE ALREADY KNOW THAT PC GAMING IS FOR THE MASTER RACE.

Right, ok then.

DSI is ten times better than the PSP!!!!!!!111

WE ALREADY KNOW THE PS3 HAS NO GAMES. Not true.
WE ALREADY KNOW THE XBOX LIKES TO stuff ON IT'S SELF. True
WE ALREADY KNOW THAT PC GAMING IS FOR THE MASTER RACE. yus

And Microsoft even doesn't support Xbox here. I wonder if they have Microsoft.com in Estonian, why can't they support Xbox. :o

You should keep the consoles boxes like smart people do.
Except that it plainly sates on their website that they don't accept repairs in the original box PLUS UPS refuses to ship it like that.

CAPS LOCK IS FUN.

Strange, no matter how many times i say it, microsoft WILL NOT STOP EMAILING ME ABOUT A PROBLEM I HAD 2 YEARS AGO.

That's how dedicated they are.

Except that it plainly sates on their website that they don't accept repairs in the original box PLUS UPS refuses to ship it like that.
Why not use the box that returned to you the PS3 after they fixed it?

Also this support comparison isn't fair as a disc-reading error is not as bad as an overheating problem.

WE ALREADY KNOW THAT PC GAMING IS FOR THE MASTER RACE.

Gah, I hate Microsoft support, I had the same deal with my Xbox. I don't know why they can't get it together because my Xbox has had the RRoD twice now.

It took a few days to fix our Xbox and I agree with jsk on the fact its not a fair comparison.

it actually is fair... the problem isn't but its about the support not the problem :)
