Garry's Mod blackout problem :c

Today I went on GMOD to play with some steam friends. But when I got past this screen:

It immeadiately turned black. Nothing would respond, but luckily I ctrl-alt-del'd and ended hl2.exe.
I tried to go on two more times.
The same thing happened.
I think it might be related to a mod I have, called "SMOD Tactical". It's like a Steam game basically, but it uses things from Counter Strike and Half Life 2. It's not a mod for GMOD. But anyway, I need help. Have you experienced this before? Was it fixed? What should I do?

Anyway, may be a problem with drivers or something. I had a problem like this with another game, and updating the drivers fixed it.

Well, I've been playing Gmod for a while without it updating nor updating my drivers themselves, so I doubt it's that. I used to have a similar problem, but instead it crashed.

I'm not sure this has anything to do with the problem, but have you tried verifying the integrity of your file cache? … At least, I think that's what it is. I've had a similar problem once or twice before, and doing that helped.

Yes.
None of them seem very deadly (i have very little add ons) except maybe Gbombs3.
Should I post a list of the ones I have?

I already have that set I'm sure. It's how I can barely function on Gmod.

Will try that now. EDIT: Didn't seem to work. I ctrlaltdel'd, went to task manager, closed it (though it never went away :( ) and then finally clicked the Garrys Mod Taskbar Icon. Sure enough, nothing happened. Methinks I'ma reinstall. I'm about to go to sleep anyway.

Probably. I see no downsides though.
DOUBLE EDIT: Wow, the install only took about 2 minutes.
Triple Edit: God damn. I reinstalled and it still doesn't work. Maybe my processor IS too weak. Can you update your processor on a laptop?
