Author Topic: WoW new monney idea  (Read 2140 times)

If WoW would've been a one time payment... I don't even want to imagine.

MMOs are for people with full time jobs :(

If you think it's cheap in the US, in the UK you can get a 60-Day card for £14, and a month for £8 :3

That's roughly the same as what the US pays.

The reason I don't play is:
1: My computer is kinda like the slowest in the world.
2: Monthly payment.
3: My computer is kinda like the slowest in the world.

If everybody in the world spent the 50 dollars after a while, they couldn't host the server, and would have to shut down the end. (Now all the sad nerds go on a rage and kill everyone)

$300, one time fee possibly resonable... OR $15 a month it could be an optional plan

NO.
Blizzard makes money, money makes games.
A one time fee would be stupid, subscription fees are a way better method for MMO's. they have server fees and all that stuff, they can't just change everything and hope to make enough money.

Guild Wars 1 (and 2 once its out) survives on one time payment, but then again ncsoft has loads of other games that are p2p

I think GW kind of works like once your group leaves town one of the group members ends up hosting the groups instance, GW isn't really an MMO by any means, it is more like a server-based game without the server query screen.

I think GW kind of works like once your group leaves town one of the group members ends up hosting the groups instance,
That is incorrect.

That is incorrect.
Your source? Regardless Guild Wars isn't an MMO and they even say so on the FAQ, they call it a CORPG(Cooperative Online Role Playing Game). Also the costs of hosting tons of 5 man servers would be far cheaper than hosting 1 gigantic server.

Lul at mmos that even use "instances" (zones copied for the small group)
Kind of ruins the whole "massive" part of the massive online game.

Your source?

It's IMPOSSIBLE for him to have played it once before!

Would you like running through a dungeon with as many people as there are in a capital city?  Or do you mean instances for the whole game?

ok so what if WoW (world of warcraft to those who dont know it) didnt cost $15 a mounth but $50 for a one time payment? also the free "trial" should be forever but you can only go up to say level 40 and you cant go some places and cant weild some items and to get the full game you buy the $50 cd
cigarette your just a little kid who wants to be with the big boys
