Failure.
Shouldn't you at least research a bit about something before you buy it? It's a lot better to, well, learn what an amp is before you make a purchase, like, I don't know, a guitar. That's like saying you shouldn't inspect the house you might buy, because you'll learn about it once you've bought it. Not a very good investment, that house with multiple cracks in the foundation. Only, in your case, the problem isn't in the guitars deficiency (although, most people who know nothing about guitars will end up buying a crappy guitar), but in your ignorance.
Even then, Iron Man is played in B (using standard tuning), and he basically moves around in the standard 5th interval "rock" chord progression (all played in power chords), in this case being B, D, D, E, E, but then at the end he adds a downward trill on G.
Like this:
B D D E E G F# G F# D D E E
Is he live or dead, has he thoughts within his head
Remember, it's all in power chords.
Also, get a VOX Valvetronix amp. They're fairly inexpensive, at least for the smaller models that you would need, they have a ton of effects built in, with multiple distortion types. A perfect beginner amp, and then maybe a year or two down the road you can start buying actual effects pedals.
