You haven't really explained why you think things are so bad but anyway...
The graphics are awful
It has glow, some mirrored floors, stencil shadows like Doom 3, horizon mapping for the floor, optional motion blurring, etc.
the textures are awful,
Some are 1024x1024 - i.e. they're very high resolution. It also has lego studs for the floor that use horizon mapping to make it look like they're 3d. It also has detail textures so that textures sometimes look detailed up close rather than blurry.
the sound is awful,
It uses remixed wolf3d tunes, stereo sound using sound effects from various wolfenstein games and the voices of the characters play higher or lower depending on the character (e.g. SS play at a lower pitch)
the models and animations are awful,
The models generally are very similar to real lego, unlike in some lego-clone games. As far as the animations go, I didn't have the solid parts of their body bend like in real lego games - partly because I'm not a good animator.
the menu is awful,
I agree
and this is just an awful idea.
I've found a lot of people disagree about that. They like wolf3d with legos.
Not to mention it all looks like 90's era 3D renders.

But this renders it in REAL-TIME and at whatever resolutions your computer can handle - e.g. 1600x1200... in the 90's the 3D renders were 320x200 with 256 colors.
This game looks worse than the original in nearly every conceivable way.
"nearly"... so you admit that it is somehow better than the original in some ways?
Let's look at the original: one color floors and ceilings, rooms were bright even if there were no lights, everything got blocky if you got close, enemies had only 8 views, everything else had 1 view, it was 320x200 in 256 colours, no shadows, 64x64 textures, etc.
Furthermore, the original Wolf3D was made in 1992. There wasn't such thing as lighting.
Ultima Underworld, which was released before Wolf3D, had lighting... though it required a 386 rather than a 286.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultima_Underworld:_The_Stygian_AbyssThere were no face calculations or anything like that. Multiple floors weren't even possible.
They might have been possible in Ultima Underworld... I'm not sure. But anyway it doesn't matter... for now there won't be multiple floors in Lego Wolf3D.
