Hi-- I recently picked this game up for my son, and he's having some difficulty. Most of the games that he tries to join find him quickly banned. He's not doing anything wrong, that I can tell. In one instance, he asked the people that were there if he could have their trust, and they banned him instead. What's going on? How can he best find folks to play with?

This is the issue in the community.
People are hateful towards newbies.
Could you please tell us what servers he's banned from so I can yell at them?

There are a few things people don't like here:
1. Asking for admin
2. Asking for trust at random
3. Spam. This can be seen by the infamous 1x1
Try joining a DM. You don't need trust there.

I'd like to yell at them too. And tell him that often people dislike random trust invites. I got banned a lot when I was new, too.

At any rate, it is considered quite annoying to random trust invites. Try joining servers like "[KINEX]'s _____" and "Badspot's Blockparty". Eventually you're son will pick up on some Blockland etiquette.

People will value their builds, and do not want to accept random trusts.

Especially if it's a huge project.

And people will overuse profanity profusely, and if your son complains, he'll probably be banned.

Yeah, he seemed to get along well with one fellow, but that person put him on ignore when asked to friend him. Seems... odd. Anyway, he's been banned from Scrappy's RP Family server (which I can almost understand, if it was a roleplaying server or something and he wasn't playing along). There are so many servers, that I wouldn't sweat over any given server, but I want him to have fun and be able to play, without feeling rejected over and over.

Thanks for the speedy replies, we'll check out Blockparty and refrain from asking for trust.

By 'friending', what did you mean?
I think you might want to join Badspot's Block Party.
Badspot is a creator of the game and there are of course fair admins.
